FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Akdal MKA 1919 is a 12 gauge, gas operated, semi-automatic shotgun produced by the Turkish company Akdal Arms, and first introduced in 2007.
It is designed to resemble the classic M16A2 rifle and mimics the layout and placement of some of the controls.
Like an M16/AR15, it is also fed by a detachable box magazine which is inserted into the bottom of the receiver.
Five round magazines are the standard, with 10, 2, and even 23 shell variants available.
The MKA 1919 uses a conventional gas-operated action which is located around the support tube that runs below the barrel.
The recoil spring is also located around the same support tube which is concealed by an enlarged polymer hand-guard.
The upper receiver is manufactured from an aluminum alloy while the lower receiver, along with pistol grip and shoulder stock, is manufactured as one piece from impact-resistant polymer.
It has a 19″ barrel that is threaded internally to accept removable chokes.
This particular rifle is the updated XN model and has no iron sights, but features a top-mount picatinny rail to fit an optic or red-dot sight.
This gun is in excellent, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The finish on the barrel and receiver is excellent.
The polymer stock, lower receiver and pistol grip are still in perfect condition.
There is only some very light wear on the picatinny rail from where a sight was once mounted.
Features a 19″ barrel with removable choke.
Includes 3 x 10 round magazines.
This firearm is very well suited for home self-defense.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
