FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

Astra is a Spanish weapons manufacturer that was founded in 1908 and eventually closed in 1997.
In their more recent years they produced some economically priced but good quality and reliable  revolver models that were replicas of Colt, Ruger or Smith & Wesson.

The model 357 was one of their popular models that enjoyed fair distribution in the USA.
It is a simple, well-made revolver based off of a Smith & Wesson design, which is available in a variety of different calibers, barrel lengths and finishes.
They also have adjustable triggers and rear sights.

Astra 357s are good quality, work-horse revolvers that are good value for money if found in good condition.
This particular example has a 4″ barrel, and aftermarket rubber grips.

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in excellent used condition. It is mechanically good and functional.
Its blued finish is almost perfect except for a tiny bit of light rust at the bottom of the frame.
This gun seems to have not been shot a lot.
Aftermarket rubber grips are still in good condition.

FIREARM SUITABILITY:

This firearm is suitable for home self defense, but is possibly too large (heavy) for ever day concealed carry, unless for a large framed person.
