ASTRA Constable / HEGE AP66

FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

The Astra Constable is a double-action/single-action, semi-automatic pistol produced in Spain from 1965 till 1991.
It was available chambered in 9mmK (.380 ACP), 7.65mm (.32 ACP) and .22 LR and shared many design characteristics with the Walther PP, such as its overall design profile and ergonomics, fixed barrel and recoil spring, slide mounted safety/de-cocking lever and DA/SA trigger mechanism.

It was distributed in Germany by the company HEGE Waffen and branded as the model AP66 (not to be confused with the actual HEGE Model AP66 produced by the Hungarian manufacturer FÉG, which more closely resembles the Walther PP).

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in fair to good (more on the good side), used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
There is some very light wear to the front of slide and a few very small, light spots of wear on the sides of the slide and front of the trigger guard.
There are also some tiny, light scratches in places which are really barely noticeable.
There is some extremely light surface rust on the barrel by the ejection port, which can be easily polished out.
There is also a bit of dirt in places like around the rear sight which can be easily cleaned. The original plastic grips panels are good with very few, light, small scuff marks in places which are barely noticeable, however one grip screw is missing.
The action is still very tight.

This firearm is suitable for home self defense and is perfect for every-day, concealed carry.
