FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
Founded in the 16th century, Beretta is the oldest active manufacturer of firearm components in the world.
It is a privately held Italian company operating in several countries.
Its firearms are used worldwide for a variety of civilian, law enforcement, and military purposes, with sporting arms account for three-quarters of sales.
The Beretta A300 is a gas operated, semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun produced from 1966 until the mid 1970s (although an updated version, the A300 Outlander, is currently available).
The barrel is machined from Chromium Molybdenum alloy steel while the receiver is made form light aluminum alloy.
The Model A301 is a slightly updated version that was sold between 1971 to 1979, and was available with either fixed choke or multi-choke barrels.
This gun is in very good, used condition. It is mechanically good and functional.
The finish of the barrel is very good with only a few, very light scratches in places.
The engraved receiver is also good with only a few, very small, light scratches in places, but nothing significant at all.
The wooden forend is still excellent, while the wooden stock is also in very good condition with just a few, tiny dents in places, and the recoil pad still very good.
It has a 27″ barrel with fixed 3/4 choke, and includes a canvas sling.
This firearm is suitable for home self-defense.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
- SADPA DMG – however a longer magazine tube would be preferable.
- IPSC Manual Shotgun – however a longer magazine tube would be required.
- 3GN – however a longer magazine tube would be required.
- PIN SHOOTING – Shotgun event – however a longer magazine tube would be preferable.
- CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING*
*Over-and-under shotguns are generally better suited to clay pigeon shooting
It is also suitable for wing-shooting and bird hunting.
