FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Glock is a series of polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, locked-breech semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Austrian manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H.
It entered Austrian military and police service by 1982 after it was the top performer in reliability and safety tests.
The Glock 34 is a 9mmP competition variant designed for sport shooting, particularly the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), National Rifle Association (NRA) competitions, and the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA).
It features an incredibly light polymer frame (approximately the same size as that of the standard sized Glock 17), with an extra-long slide to increase the line of sight to increase accuracy at further distances.
On top of the slide, there is a cut-out exposing the top of the barrel to decrease the weight of the gun.
It uses double-stack magazines with a standard capacity of 17 rounds, and a factory magazine with a +2 extension giving a capacity of 19 rounds.
Third Generation Glocks include thumb rests on both sides of the frame and finger grooves on the front strap.
Larger frame models also included the addition of an accessory rail.
Later third-generation models additionally featured a modified extractor that serves as a loaded chamber indicator, and the locking block was enlarged, along with the addition of an extra cross pin to aid the distribution of bolt thrust forces exerted by the locking block.
This gun is in excellent, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The slide finish is almost perfect with only some extremely light wear to the front edges which is almost unnoticeable, as well as a small, extremely light mark on the top of the slide.
The polymer frame is still perfect.
It is fitted with an aftermarket extended slide release as well as a Hogue Grip Sleeve.
Includes 2 x 17 round magazines.
NOTE: The images show the pistol fitted with Trijicon sights, but this pistol actually comes with standard Glock sights.
This firearm is suitable for home self-defense but is possibly a little too large for every-day, concealed carry, unless for a large-framed person.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
- IDPA – ESP and SSP divisions
- MPDS – Service Pistol (SP15), Service Pistol Limited (SP10)
