FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Galil is a family of Israeli made, gas-operated automatic rifles designed and produced by Israel Military Industries (IMI) in the late 1960s.
The design is closely based on the Valmet Rk 62, which was an improved version of the Soviet AK-47, but chambered for either the 5.56×45mm NATO or 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges.
The Galil series of weapons is in use with military and police forces in over 25 countries.
The Galil ARM or Automatic Rifle Machine-gun was the standard service rifle issued to Israeli front line infantry troops from 1972 until 2000.
It came with a chromium-lined 21″ barrel and was equipped with a bi-pod, wire-cutter and carrying handle.
This is the rifle that the South African Vektor R4 was heavily based on, with only a few small modifications and changes made to the design.
These rifles have a reputation of being extremely tough and durable while still providing good shooting performance in very harsh conditions.
These particular Galil ARMs are refurbished, Parkerized Israeli military imports, converted to semi-automatic-only fire, and are available with either wooden or polymer forends.
They exclude the bi-pod/wire cutter and carry handle of standard ARMs, and come with one 35 round steel magazine, but will also accept all styles of LM magazines.
These guns are in good used, refurbished condition. They are mechanically sound and functional.
They have Parkerized receivers and barrels in good condition, while folding stocks are painted with varying amount of wear and scratches to the finish.
Pistol grips are polymer with varying amount of slight wear, while forends are either wooden or polymer.
Bi-pods and carry handles have been removed.
Comes with 1 x 35 round steel magazine.
N.B. Unlike other firearms shown on this website, there are more than one of these rifles available, so the images shown are only a representation of a single example and other rifles may differ slightly in appearance and quality of finish.
