FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

The Colt M1911, also known as the “Government” or “Colt Government”, is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1986.

An iconic firearm, the 1911 has been copied and produced by many different manufacturers around the world and is still in production today in countless variants and configurations.
It is widely popular with civilian shooters for self-defense and competitive sports shooting, particularly USPSA, IDPA and IPSC.

This particular 1911 pistol is made with a satin-nickel Colt frame and a blued Ithaca slide and has been highly modified for the IPSC Open Division.
Some of these modifications include; extended barrel compensator, extended beaver tail, extended/opened magwell, slide racker, sight mount and Tasco Propoint red dot sight.

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
There is only some wear/light scratches to the front, bottom-left of the slide, otherwise the finish is still very good.
This pistol is made with a satin-nickel Colt frame and a blued Ithaca slide and has been highly modified for the IPSC Open Division.
Some of these modifications include; extended barrel compensator, extended beaver tail, extended/opened magwell, slide racker, sight mount and Tasco Propoint red dot sight.

FIREARM SUITABILITY:

This firearm has been set up exclusively for sport shooting, however with the red dot sight, sight mount, slide racker and compensator removed and the addition of a front and rear sight, it could be used for home self-defense and possibly concealed carry for a large-framed person.

• PIN SHOOTING – 9 Pin Space Gun event
• STEEL CHALLENGE – OPEN division
