FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
Llama Firearms, officially known as Llama-Gabilondo y Cia SA, was a Spanish arms company founded in 1904 that manufactured moderately priced revolvers and semi-auto pistols.
They were popular mainly in the European and Latin American export market, as well as domestically in Spain.
The Llama Model XXVI (Model 26) is a steel-framed, double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .22 LR, and introduced in the late 1960s.
It was available with a 2″, 4″ or 6″ ventilated barrel, adjustable rear sights (adjustable for windage and elevation) and checkered walnut grips.
A .38 SP version of this revolver called the Llama Martial was available at the same time, leading some to also sometimes call this .22 LR model the Martial.
This gun is in like new, used condition. It is mechanically good and functional.
The overall finish and grips are still perfect (the grips have a few tiny, insignificant and almost unnoticeable scratches in places).
The cylinder lockup is excellent.
This revolver may possibly never have been fired.
It comes in its original cardboard box and includes the original manual, cleaning rod and brush.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
- PIN SHOOTING – .22 Rimfire Handgun matches only
- Target Shooting
This revolver would be a great, fun gun for simple target shooting and plinking at the range, and is also an excellent tool for teaching handgun shooting and fundamentals of basic marksmanship to young or beginner shooters.
