FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Marixa Regent is a side-by-side shotgun manufactured by Industrias Armas Marixa (IAM) of Eibar, Spain in the period 1950’s to early 1970’s.
IAM made utility grade boxlock and sidelock double barrel shotguns for the American market.
It was available in various shotgun calibers, but this particular example is in .410 bore.
The .410 bore or .410 gauge, is the second-smallest caliber of shotgun shell commonly available. A .410 bore shotgun loaded with shot shells is well suited for small game hunting and pest control.
This gun is in good used condition. It is mechanically good and functional.
The finish on the barrel is still very good, with only a few spots of very light surface rust that is easily removed.
There is some light tarnishing on the engraved receiver that can be easily cleaned.
There are only a very few light dings in the wooden stock and forend.
The recoil pad needs replacing.
The shotgun is suited for small game hunting and pest control.
