FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

The Colt M1911, also known as the “Government” or “Colt Government”, is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1986.

An iconic firearm, the 1911 has been copied and produced by many different manufacturers around the world and is still in production today in countless variants and configurations.
It is widely popular with civilian shooters for self-defense and competitive sports shooting, particularly USPSA, IDPA and IPSC.

One of the manufacturers who have produced a version of the 1911A1 is Norinco of China.
These firearms are manufactured with very hard steel and are known to be extremely durable.

This particular pistol is has been highly modified and upgraded from its stock condition with all Ed Brown, aftermarket internal and external parts, including (but not only):
– Extended slide release lever
– Extended manual safety lever
– Combat hammer
– Extended beaver-tail
– Skeletonised trigger
– Aftermarket sights, including Hi-Viz fiber front sight
– Flat mainspring housing with extended magwell
– Magpul rubber grip panels
It has also been refinished with black Cerakote.

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in good to very good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall Cerakoted finish is still good, with only some extremely light wear on the front and top edges of the slide and dust cover, and a tiny spot on the front of the trigger guard.
There is also some light wear to the end of the cross-pin/slide release lever.
The aftermarket Magpul grips are still in excellent condition.
It has been upgraded with all Ed Brown internal and external parts (see list above).
The fiber from the front sight is missing in the photos, but this will be replaced before it is sold.
The action is still tight and the trigger is excellent.
It includes 3 x 8 round Mecgar magazines.

FIREARM SUITABILITY:

This pistol is suitable for home self defense, but is a little too large for every-day, concealed carry, unless for a large-framed person.
