FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

The Colt M1911, also known as the “Government” or “Colt Government”, is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1986.

An iconic firearm, the 1911 has been copied and produced by many different manufacturers around the world and is still in production today in countless variants and configurations.
It is widely popular with civilian shooters for self-defense and competitive sports shooting, particularly USPSA, IDPA and IPSC.

One of the manufacturers who have produced a version of the 1911A1 is Norinco of China.
These firearms are manufactured with very hard steel and are known to be extremely durable.

This particular model of 1911 pistol (Sport) features some nice upgrades to the original 1911A1 design, including:
– Extended slide release lever
– Combat hammer
– Extended beaver-tail
– Skeletonised trigger
– Higher profile iron sights
– Front slide serrations

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in good to very good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall original blued finish is still good to very good with only some light holster wear around the front and top of the slide, as well as some very light wear to some edges of the slide, dust cover and trigger guard.
There is also some very light wear to the edges of the control parts.
The original rubber grips are still in excellent condition.
The action is still very tight and the trigger crisp.
It comes in its original plastic case and includes the original cleaning brush.
It includes 2 x 7 round magazines.

FIREARM SUITABILITY:

This pistol is suitable for home self defense, but is a little too large for every-day, concealed carry, unless for a large-framed person.
