FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Ruger Bearcat is a single-action, .22 LR caliber, 6-shot revolver manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., introduced in 1958.
It is based on the classic Remington single action revolvers of the mid-19th century, but is quite a bit smaller and lighter in size and weight.
This particular example is a First Issue Bearcat produced from 1958 to 1971 and was made with an aluminum alloy solid frame, 4″ barrel and non-fluted cylinder engraved with a “Bear and a Cougar” scene and with the words “Ruger” and “Bearcat”.
This revolver also includes after-market horn grips.
This gun is in very good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
There are a very few light scratches to the barrel and cylinder, as well as a few small marks on the frame.
It comes in its original cardboard box.
This is a great, fun gun for simple target shooting and plinking at the range, and is also an excellent tool for teaching handgun shooting and fundamentals of basic marksmanship to young or beginner shooters.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
