FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Ruger Standard Model .22 LR semi-automatic pistol has a great heritage in firearms history as it was the first ever product to be produced by the company Sturm, Ruger and Co. .
First manufactured and released in 1949, this simple, popular blow-back pistol is still made today in updated designs and variants and is considered the most successful .22 semi-automatic pistol ever produced.
It’s believed that part of the gun’s early success stems from its close resemblance to the classic, nostalgia-evoking German Luger P08 pistol. The pistol’s design was actually based on a Japanese Nambu pistol that was acquired after WWII by the firearm’s designer, Bill Ruger.
This pistol is in good, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The blued finish shows no signs of wear, and only has a few small, spots of light surface rust on the barrel.
Plastics grips are still in very good condition, but just need a good clean.
Magazine is still in good condition.
