RUGER Super Redhawk

FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:

The Ruger Super Redhawk is a double-action/single-action, 5 or 6-shot revolver, available chambered in 10mm Auto, .44 Magnum, .454 Casull and .480 Ruger, made by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in the United States.
It was first introduced in 1987 and was designed to handle the larger, more powerful cartridges that were becoming more commercially available at the time.

The Super Redhawk is only available in stainless steel with a number of different finishes (brushed, semi-gloss or polished, high-gloss) and comes with a 7.5″ or 9.5″ barrel (except for the 10mm Auto version, with a 6.5″ barrel, and the Super Redhawk Alaskan, with a 2.5″ barrel).
It uses the same trigger design and  grip panels as the .357 Magnum GP100, but has a larger, stronger frame with integrated scope bases.
It also uses a triple cylinder-locking system to help safely handle high power cartridges and maintain accuracy.

Despite plans to drop the Ruger Redhawk revolver with the introduction of the Super Redhawk, the original Redhawk still remains in production, many shooters prefer the more classic lines of the Redhawk, especially those who do not plan to use a scope.

FIREARM CONDITION:

This gun is in excellent, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
It has a brushed, semi-gloss stainless steel finish with only extremely few, very small and extremely light scratches in places, which could easily be polished out (really insignificant).
There is also a small, black mark at the right, rear of the frame, which could also be easily cleaned, and two, very small wear marks on the front, sides of the barrel.
The lockup is still excellent.
It has a 9.5″ barrel and includes a Tasco 2 x 20 scope and original Ruger scope mounts.

FIREARM SUITABILITY:

This firearm is suitable for home self defense, but with it’s large bore and 9.5″ barrel and scope mounts, it is best suited for hunting or target shooting like metallic silhouette.
