FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Tanfoglio GT27 is a single-action, direct blowback, steel-framed pocket pistol chambered 6.35mm (.25 ACP), manufactured by the Italian firearm company Tanfoglio.
The GT line of Tanfoglio pistol was first introduced in 1992 and are still in production today.
The pistol’s design resembles that of a Beretta 950 Jetfire with an open slide, but it does not incorporate the same tilting-barrel mechanism.
It does incorporate a passive trigger safety that prevents the pistol from firing unless the trigger is deliberately pulled.
It also has a manual safety lever, as well as a half-cock on the hammer.
It was available in either a chrome or blued finish, with black plastic or wooden grip panels.
This gun is in good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The matt finish on the slide is still excellent, while there is some light wear to the top, front portion of the barrel.
There are no discernible marks on the frame, except that one might say that the overall finish is perhaps a little dull (although it might have come this way from the factory).
The original plastic grip panels are still very good.
It comes in its original plastic box and includes a leather holster.
This firearm is designed for extreme concealed/pocket carry for self-defense, or as a back-up gun.
While it certainly meets this criteria when it comes to weight and size, I would be cautious about carrying a low power 6.35mm (.25 ACP) pistol as your main self-defense firearm.
This firearm may also have some collector value for a Tanfoglio/Italian firearms or pocket-pistol collectors theme.
