FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Taurus Model 66 is a 6 or 7 round (though most older models that you find will be 6 round), medium framed, double action/single action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum.
It was first introduced in 1978 and is still manufactured today.
It is one of Taurus’s most popular and successful revolver models and is longtime favorite of security personnel.
They are known to be extremely reliable and durable with good accuracy and ergonomics, and are a good value-for-money option for people looking for a medium-sized .357 Magnum revolver at an economical price.
This particular example is a 6 round, 3-4″ barrel variant in blued finish, and comes with original Taurus wooden grips.
NOTE: It’s rear sight is missing.
This gun is in fair to good, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
There is some light wear around the muzzle, as well as some extremely light wear along the front edges of the barrel under-lug, frame and cylinder.
There is also a single, extremely light, fine, small scratch on left side of the frame, but nothing too bad.
There is a very light drag mark along the cylinder, and the lockup is still OK
The wooden grips are mainly still good, but just have some light scratches on the undersides.
NOTE: NO REAR SIGHT.
This firearm is suitable for home self defense, but is too large for every day carry, unless for a large-framed person.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
- MPDS – Revolver (REV) division
- ICORE – Classic division
