FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
A. Uberti, Srl. is an Italian manufacturer of high quality replicas of 19th century American percussion revolvers, carbines, and rifles as well as cartridge revolvers, single-shot rifles, and lever-action rifles.
These replicas are commonly used by historical re-enactors, participants in action shooting sports such as cowboy action shooting, working ranchers and target shooters who prefer traditional-style firearms.
Thanks to their quality, Uberti replicas are also sought after by collectors and historical firearm enthusiasts.
The Uberti 1862 Police black powder revolver is a scaled-down, concealment version of the larger 1860 Army model, with fluted cylinder, streamlined round barrel and “creeping” loading lever.
During the 1850’s, Samuel Colt discovered that by working with certain steels, he could safely fit a larger caliber in a smaller-frame revolver.
He therefore upgraded the the Wells Fargo or 1849 Pocket revolver from .31 Cal to .36 Cal to create the 1862 Police, to create a powerful, concealable pistol for the civilian market.
The Pocket and Police were the last two muzzle loading models to be produced by Colt.
The Uberti 1862 Pocket Pistol gives you the opportunity to own and safely shoot this sleek gun, which became a favorite “concealment” weapon for sheriffs, marshals and outlaws alike in the days of the Wild West.
This gun is in like used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The condition is perfect with no discernible signs of wear or scratches.
It may in fact have never been fired.
It has a 6 1/2″ forged steel barrel, colour case hardened forged steel frame, brass trigger guard and walnut grips.
It comes in its original foam box and includes the original manual.
Note: Even though this is a black-powder revolver, it is listed on the CFR’s system and therefore requires a license.
The firearm is suitable to be used for:
- Target shooting

Some of these movies include ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’, ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’, ‘True Grit’, ‘The Outlaw Jersey Wales’, ‘Dances With Wolves’ and ‘Tombstone’.
