Item Description
FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Vektor H5 or “Hunter 5” is a pump-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington, based and built on the receiver, barrel and other components of the Vektor LM series of semi-automatic rifles.
It was produced by Lyttleton Engineering Works from 1992 till 1998, and was available in a few different variations of stock type and barrel length.
It was designed for hunting and sporting purposes, but also and more successfully for the domestic security market.
It was also very popular with farmers living in remote areas, who appreciated the rugged design, simple (and fast) operation and compact size (particularly in vehicles).
It was also much easier for them to acquire a license for the H5 (being a manually operated rifle like any other hunting rifle) than a semi-automatic rifle, which is a restricted firearm.
This particular version with the pistol grip, plastic fore grip, LM-style folding stock and LM5 length barrel (332mm) was designed specifically for the security industry, while sporting versions came with wooden, thumb-hole stocks and fore grips and longer barrel.
All H5s were sold including a fitted Trijicon 4×32 telescopic sight, as is present on this example.
The H5 came with a 12 round box magazine (included with this rifle) but can also use standard, full size LM magazines.

FIREARM CONDITION:
This gun is in excellent used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall original finish is still excellent with only some extremely light wear on some edges of the receiver, which are basically insignificant.
There are also a few, small, light scratches under the barrel near the swivel.
The stock, synthetic forearm and pistol grip are still excellent with no marks or scratches (there is only some light wear to the logo medallion on the forearm).
It is fitted with a Trijicon 4X32 scope.
It comes with a single 12 round magazine.
Extra magazines for this firearm available from Special Armory
FIREARM SUITABILITY:
This firearm is suitable for hunting (small game and vermin only due to small .223 Remington caliber).
This firearm is also suitable for security work due to compact size, folding stock, fast action and high magazine capacity.
For the same reasons it is also suitable for home self-defense, particularly for people who live in isolated, rural areas like farmers.
This rifle can technically be used for certain sport shooting activities, but in reality the vast majority of sport shooters use semi-automatic rifles, and anyone using a manually operated rifle like this would be greatly disadvantaged and dissatisfied.
