FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Beretta 81 is a compact, double-action/single-action, direct-blowback pistol chambered for 7.65mm (.32 ACP), and manufactured by Beretta in Italy.
It was first introduced in 1976 and the model 81 was the first in a whole line of similar pistols known originally as the “Series 81”, and later as the Beretta Cheetah.
This line of pistols included single-stack and double-stack magazine variations, chambered in .32 ACP, 9mmK (.380 ACP) and also .22 LR, with some version still being produced and sold today.
This particular model 81 is an early base version, identifiable by having no letter suffix as well as a rounded trigger guard.
The frame is alloy, the slide is blued steel and the standard grips are wood.
It includes frame-mounted, ambidextrous manual safety levers.
While the .32 ACP round may seem on the small, less powerful side compared to other common/modern small pistol calibers, these guns are excellent, concealed carry pistols with great ergonomics and shooting characteristics, excellent reliability and superb build quality.
This gun is in good, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall finish is still very good with some light wear/tarnish marks on the back-rear and right side of the slide.
There are also very few, very light scratches on the front strap of the frame, otherwise the frame finish is still excellent.
The original plastic grips are still good with only some extremely light scuff marks in places.
