FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Beretta 950 Jetfire is a simple, direct blowback pistol, chambered in 6.35mm (.25 ACP) and .22 Short, with a single-action trigger mechanism and tip-up barrel, manufactured in Italy and Brazil from 1952 till 2003.
The frame is made out of aluminum alloy and the slide and barrel are carbon steel.
Early models (pre-1968) do not have a manual safety lever, employing an inertial firing pin for safe hammer-down carry instead.
The Beretta 950 Jetfire chambered in .25 ACP is a backup, self-defense pistol that is intended for undercover agents, police officers or individuals as a concealed firearm for self-defense.
The tip-up barrel makes it easy to make safe and at the same time, easy to make ready to fire, especially for people who find it difficult to rack the slide of a small sized pistol.
The pistol does not have an extractor and relies on blowback pressure to eject the spent cases.
If a case does not extract it can be manually removed by tipping up the barrel and pulling it out.
This gun is in very good, used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall finish is excellent with only some small spots of extremely fine wear along some edges of the slide, which are virtually unnoticeable.
There are also a few, tiny, light spots of surface rust in places, which can easily be cleaned. The original plastic grips are still good with only some extremely light scratches and scuff marks in places.
This gun has been sitting in box for a long period and just needs a good strip and cleaning. It comes in its original cardboard box and includes the original manual.
Extra magazines for this firearm available from Special Armory
This firearm is perfect for every-day, concealed or pocket carry, although the 6.35mm (.25 ACP) cartridge is quite small and low powered compared to other, modern calibers.
All calibers are effective with the correct shot placement however, it just means that your shooting skills must be that much sharper.
This ammunition will also not be as prevalent and available to purchase as other calibers, especially if you are looking for modern self-defense rounds.
It may also be a good firearm to consider as a second, backup concealed weapon.
