FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Caracal is a series of semi-automatic pistols manufactured by Caracal International LLC, a subsidiary of Tawazun Holding from the United Arab Emirates.
Launched in 2007, they are the first pistols made in the United Arab Emirates and are the primary service issued pistols used by the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
The Caracal is a fully ambidextrous, striker-fired, polymer framed pistol fed from a double-stack magazine.
The frame includes a forward mount accessory rail.
It incorporates an external integrated trigger safety and two automatic internal safeties – a firing pin safety and a drop safety.
It has a loaded chamber indicator in the form of a witness opening at the rear of the chamber.
A notable feature of the Caracal is its very low slide profile design and low bore axis, making the pistols more comfortable to shoot by reducing muzzle rise and allowing faster aim recovery.
The Caracal is available in a few different variants (mainly just different sizes) and calibers.
The Caracal F is the original design and the standard (duty) sized pistol, and is the version used by the security forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (chambered in 9mmP).
When chambered in 9mmP this pistol has a standard 18 round magazine.
This gun is in good to very good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
The overall finish is still very good with only very light, general holster wear that is really only noticeable around the front edges of the slide.
The polymer frame is still in excellent condition.
This firearm is suitable for home self defense, as well as every-day, concealed carry.
