FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The FN Browning Challenger is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .22 LR that was manufactured between 1962-1974.
The Challenger was the luxury version of the FN Browning Nomad pistol, also introduced in 1962 as a light plinking and recreational pistol.
The Challenger has a gold-plated trigger, a fine walnut, ergonomic grip, and an adjustable rear sight.
It also has a dry firing system, to prevent the damage to the firing pin that can normally occur when dry firing a rimfire gun.
The Challenger was later replaced by the Challenger II and III, and eventually the Browning Buck Mark series.
Anything made by FN is guaranteed to be well designed and excellent quality.
This gun is in good used condition. It is mechanically sound and functional.
There are a few light scratches on the finish of the barrel and frame.
The wooden grips are also lightly scratched.
Note: This gun has no magazine.
This FN Browning Challenger would be a great, fun gun for simple target shooting and plinking at the range, and also a good tool for teaching handgun shooting and fundamentals of basic marksmanship to young or beginner shooters.
This firearm is suitable for use in the following sports:
- STEEL CHALLENGE
- PIN SHOOTING – .22 Rimfire Handgun matches only
- OTHER TARGET SHOOTING
