FIREARM HISTORY AND FEATURES:
The Star 30PK is a semi-automatic, double-action/single-action, browning-style delayed blowback pistol chambered in 9mmP, manufactured between 1984 and 1993.
It was an improved version of the Star Model 28 designed and released in 1978.
The Model 28 was entered into the US Military XM-9 trials, but was beat out by the Beretta 92FS.
Star took feedback from these trials as well as the commercial market, and revised a number of small elements to produce the improved Star Model 30, released in 1981.
It was available in three main models which were the Model 30M (with long “military” length barrel), the Model 30P (with short “police” length barrel) and the Model 30PK (with “police” length barrel and lightweight alloy frame).
The Star Models 30m and 30PK were adopted by the police and army of Spain and taken into inventory by security elements and local police of Peru.
This gun is in fair to good used condition. It is mechanically good and functional.
There is uniform, light wear to the entire slide finish and the control parts, but no scratches.
There are some small, light wear patches to parts of the alloy frame, as well as some very light wear along most edges of the frame, and a light wear/scratch mark under the slide release lever.
The original rubber grips are still good with no discernible scratches or marks.
It comes in its original plastic box and includes the original manual and cleaning rod.
It comes with 2 x 15 round magazines.
